Job Description and Information: CKCPRD is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Youth Summer Camp Counselors. As a camp counselor, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, inclusive, and memorable experience for children ranging from 5-12 during their summer break. You will lead various activities, mentor campers, and foster a supportive environment for personal growth and development. Hourly Pay Rate (depending on experience) $17.30-$18/an hour.

Camp Description and Information: Four weekly camps with a different theme each week.

  •  First camp is July 13-17; and the following three weeks.
  •  Camps run Monday through Friday 8:30am to 11:30am
  •  Counselors’ hours are Monday through Friday approximately 7:45am-12 noon; with three days of training prior to
    the start of camp and two-day post camp for summarizing the camps, cleaning, and organizing.

Responsibilities include:
1. Supervision and Guidance: Supervise campers throughout daily activities, always ensuring their safety and
well-being. Provide guidance, support, and positive reinforcement to campers, fostering personal growth
and social development.
2. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other camp counselors and camp coordinator guiding campers
through activities and ensure smooth operations of the camp program. Foster a positive team
environment and highlight a good attitude in participating in each activity.
3. Role Modeling: Serve as a positive role model for campers, demonstrating leadership, responsibility,
respect, and integrity in all interactions. Encourage campers to exhibit good sportsmanship, cooperation,
and empathy towards their peers.
4. Conflict Resolution: Address conflicts and behavioral issues among campers in a fair and constructive
manner, promoting effective communication and conflict resolution skills. Foster a supportive and
inclusive environment where campers feel valued and respected.
5. Safety and Emergency Response: Follow camp safety protocols and procedures to always ensure the well-
being of campers and staff. Be prepared to respond to emergencies and communicate effectively with
camp leadership and emergency services.
